Quick answer
Tradify pricing is per-user per-month. The entry plan, Lite, is $47/user/month. Pro is $51/user/month. Plus is $61/user/month and includes SmartTools AI features. A Custom plan is available on request. A 14-day free trial is available on all standard plans.
For a sole trader, Tradify Lite is $47/month. For a 5-person trades team, Lite is $235/month. Team size is the primary cost driver — understanding that number before selecting a plan is the most important step in the buying decision.
The per-user pricing model explained
Tradify does not offer a flat-rate plan. Every user who needs platform access adds to the monthly bill at the per-user rate for the chosen plan tier. This model is straightforward to calculate but requires a clear answer to one question before selecting a plan: how many people actually need access?
Field technicians who only need to view their scheduled jobs and update notes on the mobile app count as full users. Administrative staff managing quotes and invoices count as users. Business owners who need reporting access count as users. Everyone who logs into the platform needs a seat.
Map out the actual user count before selecting a plan. If the count is likely to grow in the next 6–12 months, model the future cost rather than just the current cost.
Plan tiers
Lite — $47/user/month. The entry plan. Core job management: create a job, schedule it, send a quote, track progress, raise an invoice, and sync with Xero or QuickBooks. Includes scheduling with Google Calendar sync, job notes, time tracking, photo capture, and the standard mobile app workflow. The right starting plan for most trades businesses new to Tradify.
Pro — $51/user/month. Adds features above Lite including more advanced reporting and additional workflow controls. The per-user premium over Lite is $4/user/month — for a 2-person team, $8/month more than Lite. Confirm which specific features sit at the Pro level versus Lite before upgrading, as the difference is modest but should be driven by genuine feature needs.
Plus — $61/user/month. The top standard plan. Includes SmartTools AI features: AI-assisted quoting, job description generation, and workflow automation tools built into the Tradify platform. Plus is the plan for trades businesses that want to use AI to speed up quoting, reduce time spent writing job descriptions, and automate repetitive workflow steps. At $14/user/month more than Lite, the ROI on Plus is clearest when quoting volume is high — a sole trader sending 15–20 quotes per week will get more value from SmartTools than a team sending 3–4.
Custom. Available on request for larger teams or businesses with specific requirements. Contact Tradify directly for pricing information.
Instant Website add-on
Tradify offers an Instant Website add-on at $12/month. This provides a dedicated business website built and hosted by Tradify — suitable for trades businesses that need an online presence but do not want to commission a custom site. It is a flat add-on cost regardless of user count, and independent of which plan tier is selected.
How team size drives total cost
The per-user model makes team size the most important variable in the total monthly cost:
1 user on Lite: $47/month
2 users on Lite: $94/month
3 users on Lite: $141/month
5 users on Lite: $235/month
10 users on Lite: $470/month
5 users on Plus: $305/month
10 users on Plus: $610/month
For teams above 8–10 people, the per-user cost of Tradify becomes worth comparing directly against Contractor Foreman's unlimited-user flat plan (~$49–$249/month). At 10 users on Tradify Lite, the monthly cost is $470/month — equivalent to nearly two Contractor Foreman Unlimited plans. The right platform depends on workflow fit as much as pricing, but the cost structure becomes a meaningful factor at larger team sizes.
When each plan makes sense
Lite is the right starting plan for most trades businesses: electricians, plumbers, HVAC engineers, builders, and small service teams with 1–5 people in the field. The core job management workflow covers everything from enquiry to invoice without paying for features that are not needed at the early stages of adoption.
Pro is appropriate when specific Pro-level reporting or workflow features are a genuine daily need. The $4/user/month premium is small enough that some teams upgrade to Pro simply for headroom, but the better approach is to validate on Lite first and upgrade when a specific gap is clear.
Plus makes sense for businesses where AI-assisted quoting and job documentation would remove meaningful time from the workflow. Evaluate SmartTools during the free trial on real quotes and job descriptions. If SmartTools reduces average quoting time by 30–40%, the $14/user/month premium delivers clear ROI. If the team sends a low volume of quotes or the AI output requires heavy editing, Lite is the more efficient choice.
The 14-day free trial
A 14-day free trial is available on Tradify without requiring a credit card. The trial gives enough time to complete a small number of real jobs end-to-end — from enquiry through quote, scheduling, site notes, and invoice. Use the trial to test the Xero or QuickBooks sync if accounting integration is a requirement. Set up the mobile app for field use on the first day of the trial rather than the last.
Alternatives to compare
Contractor Foreman (~$49–$249/month, unlimited users) is the primary alternative for trades and construction businesses. At team sizes above 6–8 people, Contractor Foreman's flat-rate pricing model makes it more cost-effective. It also adds construction management depth (RFIs, submittals, safety forms, Gantt) that Tradify does not offer. For simple trades job management on a small team, Tradify is the simpler starting point.
Jobber is a comparable field service management platform with a different pricing model. Compare Jobber's current plans against Tradify's per-user cost for the specific team size in question.
Xero (£7–£65/month) is not a Tradify replacement — it is the accounting layer that Tradify syncs with. Most trades businesses run Tradify for job management and Xero for accounting. The combination covers the full operational and financial workflow.
