Nutshell Pricing (2026): Plans, Cost Drivers and Buyer Fit
Updated May 2026
Nutshell pricing has two layers: the per-user CRM subscription and optional add-ons for email marketing, SMS outreach, and proposals. The $13/user/month Foundation entry price does not include the add-ons many SMB sales teams actually need. Model the full feature set before choosing a plan.
Current Plan Prices
Nutshell currently lists five CRM plans verified in May 2026. Foundation at $13/user/month covers contacts, pipeline management, webchat, AI chatbot, form builder, and landing pages. Growth at $25/user/month adds email sequences, personal email sending, activity reporting, and sales analytics. Pro at $42/user/month adds workflow automation, multiple pipeline support, and team-based permissions. Business at $59/user/month adds advanced governance controls. Enterprise at $79/user/month adds SSO and advanced administrative controls.
A 14-day free trial is available. Annual billing reduces plan pricing meaningfully compared to monthly rates — verify current annual pricing at nutshell.com/pricing.
Add-ons are priced separately: Nutshell Marketing from $49/month for email campaign management and marketing analytics; Nutshell Engagement at $16/user/month for SMS outreach; Nutshell IQ for AI-powered prospecting; Nutshell Quotes for proposal building. Add-on costs stack on top of the CRM plan subscription and can substantially change the total monthly bill.

Which Plan Should You Choose?
Use Foundation ($13/user/month) only to test whether Nutshell fits the pipeline workflow — it is limited to basic contact and pipeline management without email sequences or automation. It is the right tier to validate the interface before upgrading.
Move to Growth ($25/user/month) when email sequences become part of the sales workflow. Growth is the practical working tier for most SMB sales teams. Teams doing any structured prospect follow-up should start their evaluation on Growth, not Foundation.
Choose Pro ($42/user/month) when the business runs multiple distinct sales pipelines, needs workflow automation to reduce manual status updates, or requires team-based permissions for more controlled access.
Business and Enterprise are for organisations with compliance, governance, and SSO requirements that most SMBs do not need at growth stage. Do not upgrade to these tiers based on feature lists — upgrade when a specific feature is genuinely required.
Add-on evaluation: decide before committing whether Marketing ($49/month), Engagement ($16/user/month), or other add-ons are needed. These can more than double the effective monthly cost on smaller plans.
What Makes the Cost Increase?
Per-user pricing is the primary base cost driver. Every team member with Nutshell access is a billable seat. A 5-person team on Growth pays $125/month; a 10-person team pays $250/month before add-ons. Model team headcount at 6 months and 12 months, not just today, before committing to annual billing.
Add-ons are where most buyers underestimate total cost. Marketing at $49/month is a flat per-account cost — one charge for the whole team. Engagement at $16/user/month is per-user — a 10-person team adds $160/month for SMS. Build the complete add-on set into the budget before comparing Nutshell against alternatives.
Annual versus monthly billing: annual billing saves meaningfully versus month-to-month rates. Only commit annually once the trial has validated that the team will use Nutshell consistently. A year of unused subscription is a poor investment.
Buyer Examples
5-person service business managing active client pipeline: Growth at $125/month (5 x $25 annual). No add-ons initially. Use email sequences for prospect follow-up. Evaluate whether the Marketing add-on ($49/month) is needed after 60 days of live use. Total without add-ons: $125/month.
10-person agency managing pipeline and running email campaigns: Growth plus Marketing add-on. 10 x $25 = $250/month plus $49 Marketing = $299/month annual. Covers CRM, email sequences, and email campaign management in one subscription. Compare this total cost against HubSpot CRM free plus HubSpot Marketing Starter to validate whether Nutshell is more cost-effective at this team size.
8-person sales team needing multiple pipelines and automation: Pro at $336/month (8 x $42 annual). Multiple pipelines for different product lines, automated task assignments, and team-based permissions. Add Engagement if SMS outreach is needed.
3-person small business validating CRM adoption: Foundation at $39/month (3 x $13 annual) for the trial and first 2 months. Upgrade to Growth when email sequences are needed. Keep cost low until CRM adoption is confirmed across the team.
Pricing Alternatives to Compare
Pipedrive Essential starts at $14/user/month annual — comparable to Nutshell Foundation. Pipeline UX is generally rated as stronger for pure deal-stage management, but Pipedrive does not include the same breadth of marketing tools (webchat, forms, landing pages, email marketing) in the base plan. Compare both on the specific features your team actually uses.
HubSpot CRM free tier is genuinely usable for basic contact and deal management at no cost. The upgrade path to HubSpot Sales Hub and Marketing Hub can become significantly more expensive than Nutshell at comparable capability. Nutshell is often better value for SMBs needing the full CRM-and-marketing stack without HubSpot enterprise pricing. Run the full feature-set cost comparison before committing to either.
WhatConverts is not an alternative to Nutshell. WhatConverts tracks where leads come from; Nutshell manages what happens to them. Businesses needing both attribution and pipeline management should evaluate both tools independently and run them together.
